Late September

Late September has been awesome here in Bozeman. The weather finally cooled off and the wind has been blowing incessantly. Great weather for hiking, camping, and bridge jumping. A distinct chill of winter is in the air.

This shot was taken on our return trip to Lava Lake.

The Fire

We also returned to the bridge in Gallatin Canyon for bridge jumping. A late start meant that we got there after dark. The water was freezing. One jump was all I could stomach, and I shivered all the way back to Bozeman. It’s a great spot, though. I took some night shots of cars traveling up the canyon road.

The RiverRoad Trails

These pictures are really noisy and not the best quality due to the high ISO I had to use to get enough light to the camera. I really need a tripod.
