I got a little delayed from my “post-per-day” strategy this last couple days due to the finals in my EMT class. Both the class final and the NREMT practical final were this week, so I was up to my neck in my wonderful EMT textbook.

I still got out to shoot some yesterday afternoon during a break in the storm that we’ve been stuck in for the last couple days. 2.5 feet or so in the mountains this last couple days has everything looking white and wintery again.

This picture is from way back at the end of September, when we got our first snow here in Bozeman. It was also the day that I got a bunch of fluid pumped out of my lyme-diseased knee and then fainted.

Mammoth Hot Springs

Another shot from last November in Yellowstone, this time of the actual springs themselves. I personally think Mammoth Hot Springs is almost better in winter, as the contrast between the snowy landscape and the incredibly hot spring water is really striking.

There are alot more pictures coming as finals wrap up and I have more and more time to update this site, but I’ll start out with this teaser. Tim and I had the run(s) of our lives at Big Sky over Easter Weekend. We hopped in line for about 15th chair on the Lone Peak Triple. As everyone else headed for the tram, we broke trail across the Turkey traverse and scored three runs of freshies. Waist deep pow down a steep bowl in early April? I’ll take it. Post Per Day

I’ve decided that, after a long period of inactivity on this blog because I’ve been so busy with work and skiing, I’m going to try to make one new photo post per day. Nothing special, just one picture I’ve taken per day. I think this will encourage me to shoot more and will help me work on this site more. Starting tomorrow.
